Raising aspirations is important to us at Casterton because we know ability is not fixed and, under the right circumstances, every young person can achieve wonderful things. Rest assured, whether it's a Russell Group University or a higher-level apprenticeship, we will help your child go all the way.
Students make their GCSE option choices in Year 9. Everyone studies English, Maths and Science, PE and either History, Geography or both, and then there is a wide choice of subjects, including a Modern Foreign Language, Computing, Art, Drama, Design, Business, Health and Social Care, Sport and Film. In Year 10, students also decide on their science pathway, with many pursuing the separate sciences GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry and Physics that are so important for A Level study. We guide you and your child carefully through the process and provide excellent career advice along the way. Most of our students progress to A Levels or T Levels post 16 but some take the apprenticeship route.
